The Wonders of Harav Yitzchack Kadouri
262 As the Psalmist said, we were, “Standing in fear, asking to chain their kings with chains and their nobles with iron shackles, doing to them as justice de- mands.” Despite the dif¿culties involved, “Israel is happy with their Maker and rejoices with their King.” Please G-d, let us praise You with our voices and use the power of our lips to take ven- geance from the nations. Praised is Your Name, Praised is G-d from His place of holiness. Every soul sings Your praise. While praying and beseeching the Al-mighty, time seems to stand still. And G-d responds to our prayers. “He Who hears His nation of Israel, when they call out to him.” The all-clear sign is given, and all breathe a sigh of relief. In the background, the sound of screeching ambulances and security forces are heard, toge- ther with barking police dogs, as they race to the scene of the explo- sion. The barking is heard from afar, as the dogs search for survivors. Upon entry into the demolished building, one dog is injured from a dislodged stone. Thank G-d no one was killed or injured, save for an elderly man who injected himself with atropine, found in his kit, for the extreme case of nerve gas. Thirty-nine missiles fall on Israel, alluding to the thirty-nine forbidden forms of work on Shabbat. Buildings were demolished, and yet no lives were lost, only possessions buried under the rubble and debris. Certainly, the nylon shee- ting did nothing to prevent the bombs.
