She smiled all the way in, her ears still resonating with the words of the Rav. In the middle of the case, a scene erupted, providing some drama to the whole affair. Without any logical explanation, the lawyer and the judge had an argument which blew out of proportion. The judge threatened to ask the bar association to revoke the lawyer’s license, and then proceeded to acquit Naomi from all responsibility. After the verdict, she returned to the house of the Rav. “I couldn’t help but express my wonder and appreciation for the Rav’s blessing. I waited outside, not wanting to push myself in or burden the Rav. Suddenly, the Rav’s grandson, Rav Yisrael appeared and said, ‘The Rav felt that you were here, and asked that you please enter.’ I entered his room, and he smiled widely and warmly blessed me over my success, even without my speaking a word. If this wasn’t Divine inspiration…” Foreboding of the future When the terrible tragedy of the Versailles wedding hall in Jerusalem took place, we all cried and mourned. A large number of attending people were kil- led as the dance hall gave in, and all those in the center of the room fell to their deaths.
