The Wonders of Harav Yitzchack Kadouri

286 He personi¿ed his name, Yitzchak… The house blessed by Eliyahu My good friend, Yosef David Abula¿yah, will never forget that morning when the news was relayed about the bankruptcy of the Cheftzibah Construction Company. After years of saving and scrimping, they had ¿nally bought an apartment in the Har Chomah development project in Jerusalem. He had been awaiting the key to the apartment with bated breath. Him, and hundreds of other families, were shocked and crestfallen at the turn of events. Feeling tremendous pres- sure, there was little they could do except to pray, as the owner of the company had run away overseas, taking with him all their hard-earned money. Yosef asked me to arrange a group of people to pray in the half-¿nished apartments, shells lacking utilities and doors, and obviously empty of workers. I and Harav Yosef Chaim Zakai shlita, brought some people to pray there, pleading for Divine compassion upon all the owners that their money should not be lost forever, and they should have their apartments ¿nished that year, despite its seeming impossibility. Is anything beyond the scope of Heaven? We lifted our eyes heavenward, praying for Divine salvation.
