The Wonders of Harav Yitzchack Kadouri

281 The Rav participating in the Hilulah of the Ben Ish Chai in France The snake On the very day that we ¿nished restoring the tombstone of the Rav, while the contractor was still standing and admiring his work, a snake slithered towards the tomb. All those stan- ding nearby, saw the snake try to climb onto the tomb. Obviously, we were quite taken aback. The contractor poured some acid over the snake, as we felt that we were in danger. But I am sure that this snake had been a person in its former life, and had come to ask the Rav for help in its recti¿cation, ¿nding it at the tomb of the Rav. Similarly, we are witness to myriads of butterÀies which visit the site, big, beautiful ones. They often perch themselves on top of the tomb, not moving for several days at a time. Then they Ày away, apparently after their recti¿cation has been achieved. As the verse states, “The ways of G-d are hidden…”
