The Wonders of Harav Yitzchack Kadouri
The soul of man is like a candle of G-d The commemoration ceremony on the thirtieth day 220 It was hard to believe that such a big mistake could be made. We stood there stupe¿ed, wondering where that extra ‘vav’ came from, not knowing what to do. We thought that perhaps this was the will of the Rav, that his mother’s name should yes have an extra ‘vav.’ We left things the way they were, thinking that it was meant to be. Only later did we realize our mistake, that this was actually a sign that the Rav was not happy with the tombstone. Days passed quickly, yet the pain persisted. Men and women came to the graveside and pour out their hearts in prayer, beseeching the Al- mighty to answer their prayers, in the merit of the Rav. At all times of the day, rain or shine, I sat next to the graveside of the Rav. I had no roof over my head or shelter to protect me from the ele- ments. During the summer months, the blazing hot sun shone down on my unprotected head.
