The Wonders of Harav Yitzchack Kadouri

277 gathered up her courage and revealed her dream. Sure enough, after she gave birth, her sister, after ¿ve barren years, became pregnant and had a baby girl. The two came together to the tomb of the Rav, to show their appreciation to the Rav and to thank G-d for the wonderful present He sent them. Remove the impure… and be blessed Mrs. S. came to me, after six years of lacking children, and seven attempts at in vitro fertilization, broken and forlorn. She cried at her and her husband’s inability to have children as normal people. She asked me, the author, to come to her house in northern Jerusalem and bless them to have healthy children. When I arrived, I was greeted by a large barking dog. I told them that if they want to have children, they would have to remove the dog, an impure animal, from their premises. Only then could they, with G-d’s help, have children, in merit of the great tzaddik. Mrs. S. said that she could nor bring herself to be separated from her pet dog. It was like her baby. I told her, “If you have alrea- dy a baby, why do you need another one?” She smiled and said that it would be very dif¿cult to part ways, as they had the dog for many years and they was quite attached to it. I entered their house. It was adorned with many paintings, expensive ones, painted on silk canvas. I immediately noticed that one of the paintings had a ¿gure wearing a cross. I asked them to make sure that they would remove that painting from their collection, as it reeked of idol worship. Her husband said that in his line of work, he was involved in the reproduction of these paintings, which cost a fortune. They didn’t notice the inappropriate- ness of having that painting, until now. I blessed them, that in the merit of the Rav and all the great tzaddikim whose graves I visited every Rosh Chodesh, they would be blessed with a child that year – on the condition that they would remove those two things, the dog and the painting. Again they responded that they were too attached to them, and again I said that it was either this or that. The next morning, Mrs. S. called to tell me that they already had given their The Rav during a speech
