M. was already thirty-¿ve, and still not married, who harbored a sinking feeling that she never would be either. I knew her in her position as assistant manager of one of the organizations which helped me in with building the tomb and arranging the writing of the sefer Torah in memory of the Rav. She worked hard for us, and then came one day with a request, to ¿nd her life’s partner that very year. We prayed at the tomb of the Rav that she should ¿nd, in the merit of the Rav, the right one, that year. And so it happened that several months later, I received an invitation to her wedding, saying that thank G-d, she found her match and was to be wed soon. After a year or so they had their ¿rst. During the pregnancy for her second though, she called me, crying that the doctors warned her that due to dif- ¿culties with her fetus, they would advise her to have an abortion. I reassured her that in the merit of the Rav, everything would be okay, and the baby would be healthy and well. Three months later, M. called me to invite me to the brit milah of her baby boy, born without any defects, unlike the dire predic- tions of the doctors. Two months later, she desperately called me, saying that three days ago, her son had some strong infection, and now she was in the hospital in not such a good condition.
