Harav Yitzchak Kadouri was a source of hope and salvation that millions believed in, in Israel and in the Diaspora. He expressed his love for all Jews, and was a symbol of the unity of the Jewish nation. He was marked by his simple and unpretentious character. He characterized for us all the negation of materialism and he personally exempli¿ed the values of a spiritual way of life, of a higher standard of behavior, as all past leaders of the Jewish nation did. Perhaps we can say that he saw mankind from a different angle, and added to the nation’s system of values. He was a head above in all aspects, in his way of life and in his beliefs. He was a source of pride for us all, and we would pride ourselves and be honored whenever we found ourselves in his presence, to be seen with him. He was full of splendor and holiness his entire life, glory and pleasantness was his. Many non-religious people also visited the Rav, they loved and appreciated him. He was the address and hope for hundreds and thousands of sick people and childless couples. Harav Kadouri was a shield and savior for the oppressed, and in his own unique way, strengthened the belief of many. One of the great personalities of our heritage has passed away, one of the great Rabbis and spiritual leaders of our nation. Harav Yitzchak Kadouri, go in peace on your ¿nal journey, may you rest in everlasting peace.
