148 Most of those who dream of the Rav never actually saw him in person they approach simple me, asking for a blessing, almost as if the Rav wanted me to mouth the words he would have said, each one according to their particular situation. This is what the Rav meant when he appeared to me in a dream so many years ago, saying, “I want you, only you, to be my permanent chazzan.” He requested that I should bless others in his name, all those who visit his tomb in the holy city of Jerusalem.
