133 In the merit of the Rav’s prayers—that is why we asked the Rav to be Sandek Rav’s house, distraught. She told the Rav that she was expec- ting two boys and a girl, and the doctors had said that there was no possibility that they would all live. The Rav prepared an amulet for her, even stitching for it a little pouch by hand, for her to wear constantly around her waist. Months passed, and thank G-d she gave birth to three healthy little babies. Their joy was so great, that for the circumcision the couple wanted to rent out a large hall with a band and a singer for the occasion, but the Rav was completely opposed to the idea. He asked them to make the brit in Yeshivat Nachalat Yitzchak without any fanfare. And so it was. The Rav was the Sandek for one baby and an uncle for the other, and the Mohel was of course Rav Moshe Cohen shlita, whom the Rav always recommended. The experienced Mohel The Rav would recommend Harav Cohen to be the Mohel for any circumci- sion, as he was quick and quite experienced. The baby would rarely cry while under his steady hands. I myself can testify to this. Rav Cohen of¿ciated by both of my son’s circumcisions, my eldest, Natanel, and his younger brother, Uriel Yisrael, may G-d help them to grow up to do great deeds of kindness and walk down to the chuppah, along with their sister Iddie. My ¿rstborn Natanel already helps me with the maintenance of the tomb of Harav Kadouri.
