The Wonders of Harav Yitzchack Kadouri
127 The Rav understood also stocks Yehoshua Harush, known fondly as ‘Sobi,’ lives in Ramlah. He tells us how he came close to the Rav. “The Rav was humble and self-effacing, a constant smile on his lips. Many sought his blessings and gathered in his house to gain entry. (very question I had, I would approach the Rav. It made no difference, whether it was business, private matters, or buying an apartment. Whatever I received a blessing for, I saw success. (ven when it came to buying stocks, I asked the Rav for his advice. Others took note of my connection with the Rav and began to follow my lead. They saw I was blessed with success as a result, and they bought or sold stocks according to the advice I received from the Rav. Once, I decided not to listen to the Rav. The Rav had told me to sell a certain stock, as later that day it would drastically drop in value. I couldn’t believe it. This stock had been rising in value for quite some time. How could it fall, just like that? I didn’t sell, and even told a few associates not to sell, contradicting the Rav’s advice. What a terrible mistake. That day, the stock plummeted, and we all lost millions. Since then, I learned my lesson. I decided that whatever the Rav would say, I would do without question. This important decision changed the way I did things. Whatever the Rav says – goes. I accep- ted whatever the Rav said without turning to the right or the left, and I saw blessing at every turn.”
